As the Apple iPad’s first big brand competitor released by Samsung, apparently it’s very necessary to introduce the upcoming Galaxy Tab android tablet.
Samsung has planned to release the android tablet in European markets in mid-September. By the end of this year Galaxy Tab will also appear in US and Asian markets.
Just as we see, as the competitor of iPad, the Samsung android tablet called Galaxy Tab is also equipped with a 7-inch Super TFT touch screen with 1024 x 600 resolution supporting multi touch. It’s powered by an ARM Cortex A8 1GHz applications processor, comes with 16GB or 32GB flash memory, memory card slot for additional up to 32GB memory card, built-in 3.2-megapixel AF camera with LED flash and a front 1.3-megapixel web camera for video chat, and supports 802.11n Wi-Fi, 3G, and 2.5G. The integrated 4000mAh rechargeable battery can offer the tablet about 7 hours of movie playback.
Additionally, Samsung Galaxy Tab runs on Android 2.2 OS instead of 3.0. Many applications have been integrated in the tablet such as RSS reader, Flash Player, Gmail, MS Exchange ActiveSync, Google Man, and etc. Of course, the users can also get various apps from Google apps market. And through Kobo, PressDisplay, Zinio, and other digital medias, you can read up to 2 million books. And the contents are still increasing. It’s a little pity that Samsung didn’t unveil the concrete pricing until now.
