Google Maps Navigation is already available in many countries across the globe, but the search engine giant has added 25 more countries to Google Maps Navigation on Android including a few countries from Africa, Europe, Asia and the Caribbean, and as small as Djibouti and more.
The list of countries include: Andorra, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Burundi, Central African Republic, Croatia, Djibouti, Gabon, Guadeloupe, Haiti, Lesotho, Libya, Maldives, Mongolia, Puerto Rico, Republic of Congo, Samoa, Serbia, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Togo, Tonga, Tunisia, Vanuatu, Zambia. The navigation will definitely help the local residents, but it’s equally helpful for international travellers visiting any of the above-mentioned countries for their holidays. With today’s additions, Google Maps Navigation is available in 99 countries in total.
Most of the additions are in Africa such as Somalia, Libya, etc., while others are scattered all across the globe. All the countries have labelled maps with turn-by-turn navigation to help you find your way back home, if you are lost or stranded somewhere in the middle of a desert. Additionally, there are some countries, including Algeria, Bahrain, and Russia, where the navigation is only available in certain regions.
Anyway, the service is still in beta stages so there’s still a lot of room for improvement. But, I don’t think there is any other application that can come close to or provide a similar experience as Google Maps.
