Not too long ago, LG teamed up with Google on another product and released the Google Play edition of their LG G Pad 8.3 tablet for $349.99. The tablet went on sale in the Google Play Store last week, along with Sony Xperia Z Ultra and comes with Android 4.4 KitKat on board. Just like all other Google Play Edition devices, LG G Pad 8.3 also received the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat update, just one week after its launch.
The latest update bumps the build to KOT49H, which brings it up to the same version as the Nexus devices. The update started rolling out as early as Friday last week, with more reports coming over from LG G Pad 8.3 owners in the last few days as well. There’s no official changelog available from LG, which can tell us about the changes and bug fixes that Android 4.4.2 brings for the tablet.
The update is rolling out over-the-air (OTA) and should reach all LG G Pad 8.3 GPE tablets in the coming days. It usually takes some time for the roll out process to finish, so you might have to wait for some time. If you can’t, you can check for the update manually from device settings now and then. If you already received the update, feel free to share with us if you can notice any improvements.
