When Motorola announced the new Motorola Moto G smartphone, the company said that the handset would not be available in the US until early January next year.

Motorola has just announced that the Motorola Moto G is now available in the US, the handset is available unlocked direct from Motorola.

The Moto G comes with some impressive specifications for the price, the handset comes with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and it will be updated to Android 4.4 Kit Kat in January.

The Moto G features a 4.5 inch high definition display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, processing comes in the form of a quad core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and there is also 1GB of RAM.

The handset features front and rear facing cameras, on the front of the device we have a 1.3 megapixel camera for video calls, on the back there is a full HD 1080p capable 5 megapixel camera for photos and video.
