Awesome Ouya Handheld Game Console Created By Modder

Its seem funny that the Ouya games console that broke away from its mobile Android gaming devices has now returned to its roots in a different form thanks to an inventive modder named ‘eucrow’ from the OuyaBoards website. Eucrow has combined the inexpensive new standalone Ouya Android games console with a touchscreen display and Xbox 360 game controller to create a portable version of the Ouya console.
The awesome and innovative project is still currently in the process of being refined:
Awesome Ouya Handheld Game Console Created By Modder
“This is just my first stab at figuring out where all the components will go and all of my cables and leads are long. When I do one of these builds I usually keep everything long till i’m comfortable with where the components are. Also the screen is kind of mediocre, hopefully someone out there can get me a lead on a 7″-8″ screen that’s 720p or better with its own controller.”

But as you may already know the games console is equipped with a NVIDIA Tegra 3 ARM Cortex-A quad-core processor supported by 1GB of RAM, with 8GB of onboard storage, as well as WiFi, Bluetooth, and Ethernet connectivity. Together with a wireless game controller.

China Mobile Received 100,000 iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C Pre-orders in Two Days (Report)

Not too long ago, China Mobile, the world’s largest carrier with a subscriber base of over 700 million users, started taking pre-orders for the forward-thinking iPhone 5S and the colorful iPhone 5C. The handset will officially launch on the carrier on January 17th. Now, according to a new report from Wedge Partners, the world’s largest carrier managed to sold only 100,000 units of both iPhones, which might be a little low considering the enormous subscribers number of the carrier — it’s actually around 760 million.
China Mobile Received 100,000 iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C Pre-orders in Two Days (Report)
The deal between the carrier and the Cupertino giant was expected to bring a whole loads of business to Apple, but I think it’s not what everyone expected it to be. Obviously, the figure is good, but when you take into account the Mobile subscribers for the carrier, it’s not. It’s even lower than the pre-orders received by China Unicom (120,000) and China Telecom (150,000) for Apple’s latest offerings in September.

“What’s important to remember is these phones launched in September. Now here we are several months later and there’s no subsidy being offered that’s so special that the preorders are off the charts. If this had been in September when the phone launched globally, I think the numbers would be a lot higher,” Wedge analyst Brian Blair told AllThingsD.

Well, it’s still too early to estimate the numbers at the moment, and we might have to wait a little longer for actual figures. Despite the lagging pre-orders, analysts still believe China Mobile will sell between 7 million and 38.7 million units in 2014.

Samsung New Memory Chip Could Make 4GB RAM for Smartphones A Reality

Samsung has announced that it has manufactured industry’s first 8Gb LPDDR4 mobile DRAM chip, which is faster, denser and more energy efficient than other products which are already available in the market. The new 8Gb LPDDR3 is built on 20-nanometer (nm) class* process technology, and offers 1 gigabyte (GB) on a single die. Combining four of these chips could allow device makers to equip 4GB of RAM in their smartphones next year.
Samsung New Memory Chip Could Make 4GB RAM for Smartphones A Reality
This next-generation LPDDR4 DRAM will contribute significantly to faster growth of the global mobile DRAM market, which will soon comprise the largest share of the entire DRAM market. We will continue introducing the most advanced mobile DRAM one step ahead of the rest of the industry so that global OEMs can launch innovative mobile devices with exceptional user convenience in the timeliest manner,’ said Young-Hyun Jun, executive vice president, memory sales & marketing, Samsung Electronics.

The new chip will provide almost  50 percent improved performance compared to LPDDR3 and is 40 percent more efficient. The chip could be a part of the flagship devices which will launch next year with 2K displays, including the purported Samsung Galaxy S5, we’ve heard so much about in the past few weeks. The LPDDR4 chip can transmit data at 3.2Mbps per pin, which is twice as fast when compared with LPDDR3.

Samsung’s upcoming flagship device might come with this chip, and we’ve heard rumors that Samsung Galaxy S5 will come with 4GB of RAM. There’s no official word about the launch of the handset, but rumors suggest it will see the daylight at MWC 2014, along with a bunch of other products.
